    The Weapons in Your Home.

Yes, you. Everyone that has an unsecured connected device without a good password is a contributor to current and future DDoS attacks at unheard of volumes.

That cute little thermostat or security camera you own? It’s a weapon. And it’s not so cute after all.

A series I’d like to write: The History and the Future

Here’s where Ingress went wrong and Pokemon can get it right: The history and future of location based alternate reality gaming

Part of the history and the future series. This would be a series that involves me going back to the origins of a particular idea, the present and then extrapolating what might happen in the future based on the patterns and ideas I’ve found in the past.

    Repetitive Motion

Repetitious games are a symbol of being put into a repetitious environment.

Just like a zoo animal paces to and fro, this repetitive behavior helps a human deal with a situation when they are put on pause – made to wait. Instead of thinking or reading, the repetitive motion is a sign of not being mentally nourished or having thoughts to know on. It’s a coping mechanism, but it looks quite autistic. It captures the attention but not the imagination. It feels like something is happening when it really is not. The hand gestures are repetitive. The space of movement is small.
